Side Stream Filtration System
Side stream filtration uses a specialist piece of equipment that is designed to filter a small volume of water (typically 5-15% of full flow) circulating around a closed system. This means that the total system volume will be filtered 2 – 3 times every 24 hours. Its purpose is to remove or filter out suspended particles from the recirculating water to protect it from further damage. Some side stream filters will also provide easy user access to the system to allow the addition of water treatment chemicals either in liquid or solid chemical form.
Side stream filters are the perfect solution for cleaning and maintaining high quality water in your closed hot or chilled water system.
Precisely developed to provide system protection, improve energy efficiency and for reducing running costs, this is proving widespread in large facilities such Industrial units, commercial buildings, district housing, hospitals, education and leisure facilities.
Benefits of side stream filter
• Cleans system water and maintains water quality
• Improves energy efficiency
• Reduces energy consumption
• Reduces solids build up and fouling
• Reduces energy costs
• Reduces system downtime and labor costs
Why use sidestream filters?
• Cost-effective as compared to installing a large filtration system to handle the full flow rate.
• Minimum disruption during filter change-outs and maintenance.
• Tried and tested technology which has been successfully used to maintain healthy HVAC water systems.
